What was a crypto scam that got you?

(This is a repost since it was removed when I tagged it serious, not sure why, but please don’t joke around and bully people for being scammed, also everyone here just ignore your DMs as scammers love to try to get people who have been scammed once, especially with BS “recovery” scams). What was a crypto scam you fell for, and what did you learn from it?

Since apparently 1/3rd of all crypto investors in the US have been the victim of a scam, I wanted to see which ones you folks have been scammed by. No judgment please, while you may be right, and some people fall victim to really obvious scams (in hindsight, Celsius seems obvious, but at the time it wasn’t), saying “you should have known” and “you deserve to be scammed” doesn’t help anyone, and just makes them feel like shit.

I personally got scammed by Celsius. I thought the 3-4% interest I was being paid on my ETH was fine since it was less than you’d get by staking it, and assumed it was sustainable.

I learned from it a valuable lesson. Not your keys, not your coins.

Never again will I leave assets on any centralized platform.
