What are the best multisig options/setup to store a large balance of ether/tokens while still being able to sign contracts if needed?

The Twitter thread that I linked got me worried. I've been using hardware wallets for years and thought it was pretty bulletproof as long as the seed is safely stored offline. I realize now that there is still a single point of failure and it's time to upgrade my setup to multisig.

I've been looking into using Argent or Gnosis Safe with multiple hardware wallets as guardian/owner but now it introduces a smart contract risk. I guess that I should probably split my funds between multiple storage solutions...

What would you reccomend to store a large balance of ether/tokens using multiple hardware wallets? Ideally, I would like to still be able to interact with contracts and store tokens like stETH.
