Just thinking about the blockchain - each block containing a number of transactions. I'm curious though - where are wallet balaces located? Does a wallet balance calculation have to crawl through multiple blocks to sum/minus transactions of coins to see the latest? Is there a coin/wallet ledger that's separate from chained transactions?
Not sure if what I'm saying makes sense.
