I had my funds stored across multiple blockchains: Ethereum, Matic, Arbitrum, and ZkSync on Metamask. Recently, I discovered that my assets on the Arbitrum chain, which include $ETH, $RDNT, and $ARB, were stolen. Interestingly, the hacker left around $30 untouched on the same chain.
I have also managed to transfer my other assets on other chain to CEX until I figured out what exactly happened.
Could someone explain how it's possible for funds to be compromised this way, specifically targeting one blockchain while leaving others untouched? I'd also be interested to understand why a seemingly random amount was left in my account. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
While the stolen amount is not by any means huge, I am still perplexed on the possibility of this happening.
