I’m a complete idiot regarding money & crypto. Help me change that.

In other avenues, I would consider myself a decently intelligent person; a bit above average but probably nothing special. When it comes to understanding investment and how to turn wealth into more wealth, I am completely clueless. Whether it’s crypto or traditional finance investments like stocks, I have never fully understood what I am doing. I have decided I would like to take steps to change that and I would like to focus my efforts on crypto currencies for 2 primary reasons. The first being that gains exceed those of traditional forms of investment (purely observational, I have no data to prove this). The second is that it’s decentralized, you own your own assets and don’t rely on a bank (there are obviously external factors that affect investments but not to the same degree).

So, cryptocurrency Reddit, I am calling on you for guidance. Send me resources you find useful (especially for an amateur), tell me all of your tips, tricks, cautionary tales, success stories - anything I need to know to get this off the ground. I know crypto attracts a lot of bad actors so I’m counting on this sub to not (intentionally) fuck me over. Thank you all in advance.
