How well do you know your crypto fundamentals? TIL that you can take a free crypto course offered by MIT. The best part is Gary Gensler (yeah the guy we don't like in crypto right now) teaches the course titled: "Blockchain & Money".

TLDR: You can take a free course offered by MIT that covers great crypto fundamentals in a very relevant and easy to understand approach taught by Gary Gensler Chair of the SEC. It's extremely weird listening to Gary teach the course. For someone who seems so passionate, he has taken a 360 and seems hell bent on destroying crypto.

MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) offers a free course for students looking to explore how blockchain technology can revolutionize finance. It covers Bitcoin, blockchain fundamentals, and various financial applications like payment systems, central banking, and digital identity. Additionally, it delves into the market and regulatory aspects of cryptocurrencies and tokens.

I think the most interesting thing for me is that the Professor is none other than Garry Genslier. Yeah, the guy who seems to be attacking crypto the most right now. I just finished watching the first video and here are some of the potential Financial Sector blockchain applications Garry highlighted from the first video:

-Payment Systems (cross border, retail and bank to bank) -Central Bang Digital Currency/ Stable Coins offered by industry (USDC/ USDT) -Secondary Market Trading (exchanges & custody platforms) -Venture Funding (ICOs) -Settlement Processing/ Clearing (derivatives/ securities that are tokenized) -Supply Chain/ Financial Trade (eliminating paper based procedure via the blockchain) -Digital IDs/ Data Reporting (does that mean we will get NFTs of our tax statements from the IRS?)
