How to test my recovery and cold storage works?

Wasn’t sure how to title this. It’s been many years now since I put coins into my two cold wallets: trezor and ledger.

Is there some sort of health check or best practice I can follow to check my storage is secure and everything is as it should be? I have my seed phrases written down but I haven’t opened them in a long time.

What can I do?

I’m doing this now because I’m getting really nervous that perhaps something is wrong. I feel like I want to start doing this once per year.

I’m sure others may feel this way. Is there a sequence of things that’s recommended I do to figure this out?
