Greenpeace’s art attacking bitcoin is a hilarious fail for multiple reasons

I really miss the days where Greenpeace would protest against Marineland or poachers or deforestation etc. but now they’ve pivoted to bitcoin. They’ve got this weird crusade going on against Bitcoin now and its Proof of Work consensus and it really doesn’t feel organic (pardon the pun) at all.

In the video one activist cites the need for help from “companies and government officials”, you know, the people that have put the environment at the forefront of their priorities and clearly on the same agenda as Greenpeace.

Secondly, they put “#changethecode”. You can. Dont gotta ask us just fuckin do it if people feel your cause is worthy you’ll succeed. It wont though, because its a dumbass idea and the most shortsighted thing ive ever heard.

Thirdly, the art is fuckin cool it’s literally a bitcoin ad (ill link it below). In the art you can see the nuclear cooling towers, which we know dont emit smoke but actually water vapour. Why demonize nuclear power? Focus more campaigns on nuclear energy, instead of vilifying it through satanic imagery.

Pretty obvious that Greenpeace is corporate-backed. Dont be persuaded by pictures of hippie signs and pretty flowers.
