I have read most if not all of Ethereum.org's documentation and roadmap. But I do not yet see a clear answer and a potential timeline for how fast and cheap the Ethereum mainnet can become over time, and how many years that could take. Maybe that's not even a priority goal, considering the security aspects, etc. But I'd like more input, if some of you have more info or a clearer understanding of the roadmap. What stands in the way? This is coming from the perspective of being more usable for everyday transactions, in itself (without L2s).
