Yes DCA works , but only if the coin goes back up at some point otherwise it's just called catching falling knives over a long period of time.
DCA is recommended as a one size fits all but if you look at the history, most of the coins never went back up and died so if you had dca'ed into them you would have just been the exit liquidity. Just check out previous bull runs top 20...
