Brute forcing addresses?

Hey guys, so I recently came across a tiktok of a guy brute-forcing keys to find a random eth address he then stole money from, of course this isn't something I'm trying to do but how possible is this? I haven't really found any numbers I'm happy with on the subject other than the fact that brute-forcing a single eth address is difficult but what about just brute forcing until you hit a random address? I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm not really familiar with using a client from the terminal so there could even just be further authentication that just keys but I'm curious.
